Fire and non-fire-rated electro-galvanised (EG) non-insulated steel doors and galvanised steel (GI) doors for refuse and bin chute doors, and non-fire-rated louvre doors. Our fire-rated doors are tested in accordance with BS EN 1634-1:2014 + A1:2018 Part 1.

Built to specification

Our fire-rated and non-fire-rated metal swing doors come with frames and ironmongery such as door closers, lever handles, mortise sash locks, thumb-turn cylinders, door bolts, door selectors, hinges, night latches, cup handles and panic bars. They are available in a variety of specifications and are customisable to your requirements, with fire ratings from 0.5-hour to 2-hour.

Why metal

Metal doors are exceptionally durable and easy to maintain. They do not retain or absorb moisture, so they will not twist or warp in humid conditions, and they are termite and pest free. They are also more resistant to fire. A fire door performs two vital functions in a fire: closed, it forms a barrier that stops the fire spreading; opened, it provides a means of escape for occupants.

Fire ratings (0.5-hour to 2-hour)

The design of a building, the nature of its business and the location of the fire door determine the fire rating required. Our fire doors are used mainly as entrance doors, staircase exit doors, riser and electrical doors, and refuse or bin chute doors, with fire ratings from 0.5-hour to 2-hour.

Finishes

Our metal doors are primer coated, and you can select from a range of surface protection such as PU spray paint (weather-proof), fluorocarbon and powder coat, in a wide selection of colours, or a design finish such as veneer as a final coat.
